Custom Orders FAQs
What materials can you work with?
It’s often easier to describe what we cannot process.
Laser Engraving:
- We do not engrave vinyl products due to toxic fumes that can damage equipment.
- We will not engrave combustible items such as lighters or ammunition.
CNC Routing:
- Our CNC router is designed for wood, plastics, and composite materials.
- It is not used for metals.
Sublimation:
- Materials must be 60% polyester or specifically manufactured for sublimation.
And just to answer a surprisingly common question:
No — we do not engrave people. What is the lead time for custom orders?
Lead times depend on the scope of the project. When we provide a quote, we always include a clear production timeline. Some items can be completed the same day, while others may require material ordering or fabrication time.
Can you ship outside of Alaska?
Yes — we regularly ship orders outside Alaska.
Are my logos or designs safe with you?
Customer designs and logos are securely stored and used only for that client’s projects.
Designs created by King’s Custom Designs remain our intellectual property, though clients always have the option to purchase full design rights if desired.
Can you help if I don’t already have a design?
Yes. Many of our customers come to us with an idea rather than finished artwork. We are happy to help develop a design based on your concept, logo, or inspiration images.
Depending on the complexity of the project, a design fee may apply, which will always be discussed upfront before work begins.
What file types do you accept for logos or artwork?
Vector files such as AI, SVG, EPS, or PDF produce the best results for engraving and printing. However, we can often work with PNG or JPG files depending on their resolution and quality.
If artwork needs to be cleaned up, converted to vector format, or recreated for production, we will discuss that with you during the quoting process and advise if a design fee is required.
